Let’s face it. Buying a home is one of the most exciting things you will do in your lifetime. It can also be one of the most stressful things. Picture this: your home finance has been approved.

You’ve cracked the champagne and can’t wait to start looking at homes on Saturday. In the meantime, you’ve called a few Agents about homes that seem very promising.

Out of the six Agents you called, only one called back.

You head over to the open home for each property and slowly start to get disillusioned. There were so many people at each one so you didn’t really get to see the homes properly, you’re sure the homes will sell for way more than the ‘price guide’ they advertised. And you haven’t really found one that you said to yourself, “This is the perfect home for me!”

You head home at 5pm, the day wasted, and you feel frazzled and stressed from being around so many people today and not being able to speak with all the Agents to get a firm indication of price expectations. You’re too exhausted to do anything else, so end up eating yesterdays leftovers and you sit in front of the TV and veg out for the rest of the evening, trying not to think about the day.

Compare the above scenario to this one:

You have your finance approval and you call a Buyers Agent. You meet with them and give them a brief on the ideal home for you. Saturday rolls around, you have a nice quiet breakfast then head over to the beach for a swim and a leisurely walk.

You stop at the local butcher and fruit and veg shop to buy dinner (roast lamb, yum-mo!) and head home. At 4pm your Buyers Agent calls you and provides you with a shortlist of three homes that tick all the boxes, including one that was an off-market property you would not have had access to.

Another property is in a suburb very close to the ones you are looking at, but you hadn’t considered it. The home however looks ideal! They’ve booked you in to view the three shortlisted homes during the week at times that suit you, and you’ll be viewing the properties on your own, without the crowds.

You are very excited about the coming week, you’ve had a really nice day and you decide to make some cookies to celebrate.
